Mellwood Gallery

The Kentucky Watercolor Society Art Gallery at Mellwood displays work of society members. The regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 to 4:00. The Gallery also houses the society's office, and it is where classes and workshops are held. More information about this year's workshops can be found on the Workshop page.

We have several members presently teaching in the gallery: ($members/$non-members)

Tom Scott is a well-known artist and retired college art teacher. His group paints on their own and he offers suggestions and a critique at the end of every session. Everyone is welcome.

Classes: Thursdays March 4,11, (skip 18), 25 and April 1. Four classes for $30 KWS members, $35 non-members. Time: 10 AM to 12 PM Thursdays at the KWS Gallery. Make checks payable to KWS and pay at the door or mail them to Connie Kuhn, 2550 Webb Rd. Simpsonville, KY 40067. email: Connie Kuhn

Luci Mistratov,Fridays & Saturdays, $95/$100, 5 wks. No refunds for missed classes.

Luci teaches several levels of watercolor classes. She taught watercolor in Russia for many years before moving to the Louisville area. Luci offers a loose technique with unusual twists. She brings a free style of watercolor to our group and we are all excited to start to learn from her.

3. Friday Oct 9, 10am - 12pm Beginner, and 1:00 - 3:00pm Intermediate Watercolor
4. Saturday Oct 10, 10:00 - 12:00pm Beginner/Intermediate, and 1:00 - 3:00pm Advanced Watercolor
5. Saturday Jan, 16 thru Feb. 13 (5 weeks) Silk Painting Class, 10 AM - noon. When you reserve your spot for this, you will receive a supply list.
