Welcome to the Kentucky Watercolor Society!
You'll discover the many activities we offer as you browse through our web pages: upcoming workshops, competitions, membership information, and our artists' gallery!
The Kentucky Watercolor Society was formed in 1977 to promote watercolor as an important medium in the arts community and provide support and educational opportunities for the watercolor artist. To that end we sponsor exhibitions, competitions and workshops for the professional, hobbyist, and beginning artist. We are a non-profit, nationally recognized, all-volunteer organization. The KWS has grown to over 400 members across the United States. We have gained national prominence with our juried Aqueous USA competition. In the 2008 Aqueous USA, the awards totaled $10,000.00, and over 10 pictures were purchased from the show.
